I'm pregnant

First trimester to delivery. The most common questions from moms who are still cooking.

Mom · asked

Can I lift weights while pregnant?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

Yes — assuming your OB clears you. Strength training during pregnancy is linked to shorter labor, faster recovery, and lower rates of gestational diabetes. My pre/postnatal certification is literally about which lifts to modify and when. We don't max out, we don't do supine work after 20 weeks, and we adjust by trimester.

Mom · asked

Is it safe in my third trimester?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

Yes, with the right modifications. We avoid lying flat on your back, drop weight as the trimester goes on, focus more on mobility and breath work, and prep for labor. Many clients train until 38-40 weeks.

Mom · asked

What about my pelvic floor?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

We train it proactively, not reactively. Diaphragmatic breathing and pelvic floor coordination are part of every session — the goal is to enter postpartum already strong, not rehab from scratch.

Mom · asked

I haven't worked out in years. Bad time to start?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

Most common scenario. We start at zero. The first month is form, breath, bodyweight. Pregnancy isn't the moment for something dramatic — it's the moment for something sustainable.

I just had a baby

0-6 months postpartum. Everything is new, your body feels foreign, sleep is sideways. Common ground.

Mom · asked

When can I actually start?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

Most OBs clear vaginal births at 6 weeks, C-sections at 8-12 weeks. That's the start, not the finish. You can do gentle breathwork + walking before clearance (with OB approval), but real loaded work waits.

Mom · asked

What is diastasis recti and do you check for it?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

It's a separation of the ab muscles along the connective tissue down the middle of your abdomen. ~60% of women have it at 6 weeks postpartum. I check every new postpartum 1-on-1 client at the first session — it's a 60-second screen.

Mom · asked

I leak when I sneeze. Should I be embarrassed?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

No, and please come anyway. Stress urinary incontinence is common but not normal — it almost always improves with focused work. We work around the symptom while we retrain the system. If it doesn't budge, I refer you to a pelvic floor PT.

Mom · asked

I had a C-section. Where do I start?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

C-section is major abdominal surgery — it deserves a real recovery plan, not the same 6-week timeline as a vaginal birth. We rebuild slowly, scar-tissue first. There's a full post on the timeline in the resources section.

Mom · asked

What if my baby cries the whole class?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

Completely expected. You step away to soothe, feed, snuggle — and rejoin whenever. The other moms aren't judging. Most of them have been mid-set when their kid melted down.

I want to start

Practical first-class questions. Pricing. Logistics. What to bring.

Mom · asked

What's the easiest way to start?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

Drop in to a group class at Macungie or Allentown — no contracts, decide afterward. Or if group isn't your thing, book a free 20-minute consult call for 1-on-1.

Mom · asked

How much does it cost?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

Pricing varies based on program type, such as virtual or in person. Let's connect to find the perfect plan that's within your budget. Full pricing on the /pricing page.

Mom · asked

Are there contracts?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

No. Drop in once, never come back — no big deal. Class packs have no expiration pressure.

Mom · asked

Do I have to be in shape first?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

No. That's the paradox most moms get stuck on. You're in shape for exactly the body you have right now, and we start there.

Mom · asked

How do I book?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

Easiest is DM on Instagram (Lexi replies within hours). Otherwise the contact form, an email, or a text. There's no booking calendar — Lexi handles every conversation personally.

Mom · asked

How far do you travel for in-home?

Mom
Lexi

Lexi · replied

Macungie, Allentown, Bethlehem, Emmaus, Trexlertown, Center Valley, Whitehall — included. Easton, Nazareth, further is a small add-on we sort at the consult.
